Are FoodSaver® bags BPA free?

Sunbeam Products, Inc. is diligent in our efforts to ensure that our products are compliant with all industry standards, including the regulations set by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Health Canada.

None of our FoodSaver® branded bags, rolls or canisters contains Bisphenol A.

What is the difference between the FoodSaver® vacuum zipper bags and other brand of zipper bags that are available at the store?

Our FoodSaver® Vacuum Zipper bags are designed to work with the FoodSaver® Handheld Vacuum Sealing System. The FoodSaver® Vacuum Zipper bags are made with a reinforced double-track zipper and multi-ply material with air channels that help push the air out of the bag. Each bag is constructed of durable, BPA-free, multi-layer plastic to help keep air out so foods stay fresher, longer.

Can Vacuum Zipper Bags be used in the Freezer?

The zipper bags are designed for refrigerator items, such as deli meats and cheeses, that you access everyday. We do not recommend for long-term freezer storage.

Where can I buy FoodSaver® Vacuum Zipper bags?

The FoodSaver® Vacuum Zipper bags are available on our website or through our Customer Service Center at 1-877-777-8042. They are also available for purchase at major retailers.

Can I use regular FoodSaver® (Heat Seal) bags and rolls with the FoodSaver® FreshSaver® Handheld?

No. The FreshSaver® Handheld Appliance and FM1510 Fresh Food Preservation System are designed to be used exclusively with the FoodSaver® Vacuum zipper bags and containers. The FoodSaver® heat-seal bags require a heat seal.

Can I use the FoodSaver® FreshSaver® Handheld and Vacuum Zipper Bags to store moist items?

We recommend using the FoodSaver® containers for moist items.

Can I use Vacuum Zipper Bags with my Full-Size FoodSaver® Heat Seal Appliance?

With the FoodSaver® Vacuum Zipper Bag Adapter you will be able to use the vacuum zipper bags with your Full-size FoodSaver® Heat Seal appliance.
